เมื่อวันที่ ๒๘ กันยายน ๒๕๖๘ นายวราวุธ ภู่อภิญญา เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ และพุทธศาสนิกชนในนิวซีแลนด์และครอบครัว ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีทำบุญครบรอบ ๒๐ ปี แห่งการก่อตั้งวัด และพิธีทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคีสมทบทุนโครงการสร้างรั้วและป้ายวัด ณ วัดปทุมรังษีวัฒนาราม เมืองเฮสติงส์ ประเทศนิวซีแลนด์ โดยพระพรหมวชิรเวที เจ้าอาวาสวัดปทุมวนาราม เป็นประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ และเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เป็นประธานฝ่ายฆาราวาส 

กิจกรรมประกอบด้วย พิธีบวงสรวงเทพเทวาพระภูมิเจ้าที่ ฟังธรรมเทศนา พิธีสวดมนต์ ถวายเครื่องไทยธรรม ผ้าไตรจีวร กรวดน้ำรับพร ตักบาตรอาหารแห้ง ถวายภัตตาหารเพลแด่พระสงฆ์ ตลอดจนพิธีทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคี นอกจากนี้ ชุมชนไทยในเมืองเฮสติงส์ และเมืองใกล้เคียง ยังได้แสดงมุทิตาจิตแด่เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เนื่องในโอกาสวาระเกษียณอายุราชการ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ขอขอบคุณทุกท่านที่ร่วมแสดงมุทิตาจิต และขอร่วมอนุโมทนาบุญกับพุทธสนิกชนทุกท่านที่ได้ร่วมสั่งสมบุญกุศลในครั้งนี้ และขออำนาจแห่งผลบุญกุศลได้โปรดดลบันดาลให้ชุมชนไทยในนิวซีแลนด์และครอบครัวประสบแต่ความสุข ความเจริญ สุขภาพสมบูรณ์แข็งแรง และสมปราถนาในสิ่งอันเป็นกุศลและถูกต้องทั้งหลายทั้งปวง

On 28 September 2025, Mr. Waravuth Pouapinya, Ambassador of Thailand to New Zealand, together with embassy officials, staff, and Thai community in Hastings and nearby cities, participated in the 20th anniversary merit-making ceremony and Kathina fundraising event at the Pathumrangsiwathanaram Monastery in Hastings, New Zealand. The ceremony was presided over by Phra Brahmavachiravethi, Abbot of Wat Pathum Wanaram, as the monastic leader, and the Ambassador as the lay chairman.

Activities included a sacred offering ritual, Dhamma sermon, chanting, offering of Thai traditional items and robes, water blessing, dry food alms-giving, and lunch offerings to monks, culminating in the Kathina ceremony.

The Thai community in Hastings and nearby cities also expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Ambassador on the occasion of his retirement. The Royal Thai Embassy sincerely thanks all participants for their kind wishes and joins in rejoicing the merit made. May the fruits of this virtuous occasion bring happiness, prosperity, good health, and fulfillment to the Thai community in New Zealand and their families.
