เมื่อวันที่ ๒๗ กันยายน ๒๕๖๘ นายวราวุธ ภู่อภิญญา เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน และข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมด้วยชุมชนไทยและพุทธศาสนิกชนในนิวซีแลนด์และครอบครัว ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีบุญบำเพ็ญกุศลถวายเพล ในโอกาสเทศกาลวันออกพรรษา ประจำปี ๒๕๖๘ ณ ที่ทำการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ โดยได้ร่วมกันทำบุญตักบาตรและถวายเพลแด่พระภิกษุสงฆ์ จำนวน ๗ รูป มีผู้เข้าร่วมกว่า ๑๐๐ คน

ช่วงบ่าย เป็นกิจกรรมการแสดงมุทิตาจิตแด่ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เนื่องในโอกาสเกษียณอายุราชการ โดยชุมชนไทยในกรุงเวลลิงตันและชุมชนไทยจากหลายเมืองได้ร่วมกันจัดงานในครั้งนี้ กิจกรรมประกอบด้วย พิธีบายศรีสู่ขวัญ การแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ การแสดง Kapa Haka จากโรงเรียน Wellington High School รำดอกไม้ทิพย์ล้านนา รำอวยชัย ฟ้อนบายศรีหลวง และการแสดงเต้นสมัยใหม่ โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมกว่า ๒๐๐ คน บรรยากาศเต็มไปด้วยความอบอุ่น สนุกสนาน และประทับใจ

ในการนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ขอขอบคุณสมาคมคนไทย และสมาคมนักเรียนไทยในกรุงเวลลิงตัน รวมถึงชุมชนไทยในนิวซีแลนด์ ที่ได้ร่วมแรงร่วมใจกันจัดงานแสดงมุทิตาจิตแด่ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ในครั้งนี้                

On 27 September 2025, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya, along with Embassy staff and members of the Thai community in New Zealand, attended a merit-making ceremony and alms-offering on the occasion of the End of Buddhist Lent Festival 2025 (Awk Phansa Day) at the Embassy premises, with over 100 attendees.

In the afternoon, the Wellington’s Thai Community Association hosted a farewell ceremony for the Ambassador, joined by Thai community members from across New Zealand. The event featured the “Bai Sri Su Kwan” Thai blessing ceremony and cultural performances, including Kapa Haka by Wellington High School students, the Lanna Dokmai Thip dance, Ram Uay Chai, Fon Bai Sri Luang, and a contemporary dance performance, with over 200 participants in attendance.

The Royal Thai Embassy extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Wellington’s Thai Community Association, the Thai Students’ Association of Wellington, and the broader Thai community for their dedication and support in organizing this memorable farewell event for the Ambassador.
