เมื่อวันที่ ๑๒ - ๑๓ กันยายน ๒๕๖๘ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน ได้จัดโครงการอบรมแกะสลักผลไม้โดยนางบุญร่วม เครือผือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการแกะสลักผักและผลไม้เป็นวิทยากรถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ให้แก่ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม การสอนวาดภาพสีน้ำโดยศิลปินไทยนายนภัทร เอกจริยกร ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการสอนศิลปะวาดภาพสีน้ำ เป็นวิทยากรถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และเทคนิคการวาดภาพให้แก่ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม ณ วัดญาณประทีป นครโอ๊คแลนด์ 

การจัดกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเผยแพร่ศิลปะแขนงหนึ่งของประเทศไทย ซึ่งการแกะสลักสามารถใช้ในการจัดจานอาหารไทยให้มีความเป็นเอกลักษณ์และดูน่ารับประทาน ตลอดจนใช้ในการประดับงานพิธีการสำคัญต่าง ๆ อันสะท้อนถึงอัตลักษณ์และวัฒนธรรมไทย สำหรับการสอนวาดภาพสีน้ำจะช่วยเสริมสร้างสมาธิ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ รวมถึงส่งเสริมการใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์ ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมสามารถนำความรู้ที่ได้รับไปต่อยอดในเชิงอาชีพและงานศิลปะของไทยได้ด้วย

On 12–13 September 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington organized a fruit carving class conducted by Thai experts and a watercolor painting workshop led by Thai artists at Wat Yarnprateep Buddhist Temple in Auckland. The sessions were taught by Ms. Bunruam Kearpue, an expert in traditional fruit carving, and Mr. Naphat Eakjariyakorn, an expert in watercolor painting.

The purpose of this event was to promote Thai art forms, such as fruit carving, which is used to create unique and appetizing Thai dishes as well as to decorate important ceremonies, reflecting Thai cultural identity. The watercolor painting workshop aimed to enhance concentration and creativity while encouraging the productive use of free time. Participants were also able to apply their new knowledge to their careers and artistic pursuits.

This activity fostered pride in Thai cultural heritage by showcasing Thai arts to New Zealand society. The Royal Thai Embassy will continue to organize Thai cultural activities regularly for the public.
