เมื่อวันที่ 22 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายมงคล วิศิษฏ์สตัมภ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน พร้อมด้วยนางดั่ง ถิ ทู ฮ่า ภริยา ตลอดจนข้าราชการ เจ้าหน้าที่ของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ และครอบครัว ได้ร่วมพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์ถวายพระราชกุศลแด่สมเด็จพระนางเจ้ารำไพพรรณี พระบรมราชินี ในรัชกาลที่ 7 เนื่องในโอกาสการประกาศยกย่องพระเกียรติคุณพระราชกรณียกิจในวาระครบ 100 ปี ณ วัดธรรมประทีป กรุงเวลลิงตัน

พิธีประกอบด้วย เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ประธานในพิธี จุดธุปเทียนบูชาพระรัตนตรัย ถวายธูปเทียนแพหน้าพระบรมฉายาลักษณ์ ร .10 จุดธูปเทียนเครื่องทองน้อย หน้าพระฉายาลักษณ์ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้ารำไพพรรณี พระบรมราชินีในรัชกาลที่ 7 พระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์ ถวายเครื่องไทยธรรมแด่พระสงฆ์ พระสงฆ์สดับปกรณ์ และกรวดน้ำ โดยมีท่านเจ้าคุณพระราชวรญาณมุนี วิ. (วินัย อภิวินโย ป.ธ. 7) เจ้าอาวาสวัดญาณประทีป นครโอ๊คแลนด์ รักษาราชการแทนเจ้าอาวาสวัดธรรมประทีป เป็นประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์และพระสงฆ์จากวัดต่าง ๆ ในกรุงเวลลิงตัน รวม 7 รูป ร่วมประกอบพิธี

สมเด็จพระนางเจ้ารำไพพรรณีฯ ทรงปฏิบัติพระราชกรณียกิจเคียงคู่พระบาทสมเด็จพระปกเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวในฐานะสมเด็จพระบรมราชินีในการเสด็จประพาสหัวเมืองและต่างประเทศ เพื่อเชื่อมพระราชไมตรีระหว่างประเทศ ภายหลังการนิวัติประเทศไทยหลังการสวรรคตของพระบรมราชสวามี พระองค์ได้ทรงปฏิบัติพระราชกรณียกิจแทนพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร อยู่หลายครั้ง เมื่อเสด็จพระราชดำเนินไปประทับแรมที่จังหวัดจันทบุรี ทรงดำเนินกิจการเกษตรกรรม การเลี้ยงสัตว์ และทรงพัฒนาการทอเสื่อ เพื่อเป็นโครงการตัวอย่างและนำความรู้มาเผยแพร่แก่ประชาชน นอกจากนี้ ยังทรงช่วยพัฒนาการสาธารณสุขและการศึกษาให้กับชาวจันทบุรี โดยทรงรับเป็นพระราชภาระในการปรับปรุงโรงพยาบาลพระปกเกล้า รวมทั้งทรงตั้งมูลนิธิประชาธิปก - รำไพพรรณี เพื่อสนับสนุนกิจการของโรงพยาบาลพระปกเกล้า วิทยาลัยพยาบาลพระปกเกล้า และมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏรำไพพรรณี จังหวัดจันทบุรี 

ในปี พ.ศ. 2569 องค์การการศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ และวัฒนธรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (ยูเนสโก) ได้ถวายพระเกียรติแด่สมเด็จพระนางเจ้ารำไพพรรณีฯ ให้ทรงเป็นบุคคลสำคัญของโลก ในวาระ 100 ปี พระราชกรณียกิจด้านการศึกษา การพัฒนาสังคม และความเสมอภาคทางเพศ โดยใช้วันครบรอบ 100 ปี ของการสถาปนาสมเด็จพระบรมราชินี คือวันที่ 25 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2569 เป็นวันฉลองวาระดังกล่าว

On 22 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador of Thailand to New Zealand and Mrs. Dang Thi Tu Ha, Ambassador’s spouse, along with Royal Thai Embassy officials, staff, and family members, presided over a Buddhist chanting ceremony at Wat Dhammaprateep, Wellington, in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni, Queen of Siam during the reign of His Majesty King Rama VII, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the recognition of Her royal duties and contributions to the country.

The Ambassador lit incense and candles to pay homage to the Triple Gems, presented incense and candle offerings before the portrait of His Majesty King Rama X, and lit ceremonial incense and candles before the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni. The monks then chanted Buddhist scriptures, before officials offered robes and alms to the monks, ending with pouring of sacred water to dedicate merit.

The ceremony was led by Phra Rajavorayarnmuni Wi. (Vinai Aphiwinyo), the Abbot of Wat Yarnprateep Buddhist Temple in Auckland and Acting Abbot of Wat Dhammaprateep in Wellington, and monks from various temples in Wellington, a total of 7 monks. 

Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni performed royal duties alongside King Rama VII as Queen Consort during royal visits to provincial regions and foreign countries in order to strengthen diplomatic relations between nations. After returning to Thailand following the passing of King Rama VII, she carried out royal duties on behalf of King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on several occasions.

While residing in Chanthaburi Province, she engaged in agricultural activities, animal husbandry, and the development of traditional mat weaving as model projects, with the aim of sharing knowledge and improving livelihoods of the people. In addition, she contributed to the advancement of public health and education for the people of Chanthaburi by taking responsibility for the improvement of King Prajadhipok Memorial Hospital (Prapokklao Hospital) and establishing the Prajadhipok–Rambhai Barni Foundation to support the operations of Prapokklao Hospital and Prapokklao Nursing College, as well as the Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University in Chanthaburi Province.

In 2026, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially honoured Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of her royal contributions to education, social development, and gender equality. The celebration was marked on 25 February 2026, the 100th anniversary of her appointment as Queen Consort.
