On 22 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador of Thailand, and Mrs. Dang Thi Tu Ha, hosted dinner at the Ambassador’s residence in honour of H.E. Mr. Alfredo Rogerio Perez Bravo, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Mexico to New Zealand. The dinner was also attended by Heads of Mission from ASEAN member countries, representatives from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Royal Thai Embassy officials.
The attendees included H.E. Ms. Fientje Maritje Suebu, High Commissioner of Indonesia; H.E. Ms. Mazita Marzuki, High Commissioner of Malaysia; H.E. Ms. Kira Azucena, Ambassador of the Philippines; H.E. Mr. William Tan Wei Yuan, High Commissioner of Singapore; and H.E. Ms. Idelta Maria Rodrigues, Ambassador of Timor‑Leste, accompanied by their spouses. Also present were Ms. Alana Hudson, Divisional Manager, Asia Regional Division, and Ms. Madeline Ollivier, Senior Policy Officer, Asia Regional Division, from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The dinner reception featured popular Thai cuisines such as Tom Yum Goong (a UNESCO-listed Intangible Cultural Heritage) and Green Curry with Salmon using local ingredients.
On this occasion, the Ambassador introduced himself and exchanged views on further strengthening relations between ASEAN member countries and New Zealand, emphasising the importance of close and continuous collaboration to foster sustainable cooperation across all dimensions through both bilateral and multilateral frameworks.
