เมื่อวันที่ ๒๒ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๘ นายวราวุธ ภู่อภิญญา เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตันได้ให้การต้อนรับนาย Phil Twyford สมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรนิวซีแลนด์ พรรคแรงงาน ซึ่งได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะเอกอัครราชทูตเพื่อแนะนำตัวและหารือเกี่ยวกับความประสงค์ในการนำคณะสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรนิวซีแลนด์จากพรรคต่าง ๆ (cross-party Members of Parliament) เดินทางไปยังประเทศไทยเพื่อศึกษาดูงานในช่วงเดือนกันยายน ๒๕๖๘ โดยโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แนะนำเกี่ยวกับกำหนดการต่าง ๆ รวมทั้งคณะอาจขอเข้าพบทำความรู้จักกับกลุ่มมิตรภาพรัฐสภาไทย-นิวซีแลนด์ เพื่อส่งเสริมการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือในระดับรัฐสภาระหว่างประเทศไทยกับนิวซีแลนด์ในอนาคตต่อไปด้วย

Mr. Phil Twyford, Member of Parliament of New Zealand, pays a Courtesy Call on the Ambassador of Thailand

On 22 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Waravuth Pouapinya, Ambassador of Thailand welcomed Mr. Phil Twyford, Member of Parliament of New Zealand, for a courtesy call to introduce himself and discuss on the recommendation for the upcoming study visit of cross-party Members of New Zealand Parliament, to Thailand in September 2025. In this discussion, the Ambassador proposed some itineraries as well as the meeting with the Thailand-New Zealand Parliamentarians Friendship Group, with a view to promoting closer engagement and cooperation between the parliaments of Thailand and New Zealand.
