ชุมชนไทยในนิวซีแลนด์จัดงานฉลองวันแม่แห่งชาติ

เมื่อวันที่ 11 สิงหาคม 2557 ชุมชนไทยในกรุงเวลลิงตันได้จัดงานวันแม่แห่งชาติประจำปี 2557  ในโอกาส มหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน ซึ่งนายพุทธพร อิ้วตกส้าน อุปทูต นำกล่าวคำถวายพระพรและจุดเทียนชัยถวายพระพร และชุมชนชาวไทยร่วมกันดำเนินกิจกรรมประกวดแม่ดีเด่นประจำปี 2557 อย่างอบอุ่น 

            นอกจากนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน ได้ร่วมกิจกรรมวันแม่ที่จัดโดยชุมชนไทย ในต่างเมืองเช่น ที่วัดญาณประทีป นครโอ๊คแลนด์ วันที่ 10 สิงหาคม 2557 และที่โรงเรียนอนุบาลในเมืองวิทบี วันที่ 9 สิงหาคม 2557 ซึ่งแต่ละชุมชนไทยได้จัดกิจกรรมการแสดงเทิดพระเกียรติและมอบดอกไม้คารวะแม่โดยทั่วกัน

Thai Community in New Zealand celebrates Thai Mother’s Day

                On 11 August 2014, Thai community in Wellington celebrated 2014 Mother’s Day on the occasion of her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday at the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington.  In this Auspicious occasion, Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, Minister Councellor and Charge d’Affaires led the candle lighting and well wish for Her Majesty.  Thai community also held the “2014 best mother” activity in this event to demonstrate respect to all Mothers.

                In addition, representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy attended Mother’s Day celebrations hosted by Thai communities in other locations such as at Wat Yarnprateep in Auckland on the 10 August, and at Discovery kindergarten in Whitby on 9 August, where Thai communities celebrate the occasion with visual performance and paying respects to their mothers by offering of flowers.
