Specified Passport Holders
Nationals of the 30 countries listed below:
are not eligible for issuance of any visa to Thailand unless they already hold a permit of stay for New Zealand (i.e., either residence, student or work permit);
must supply three (3) copies of the visa application form and three (3) passport sized photos for a visa to travel to Thailand;
must provide required documents depending on the types of visa;
must submit their visa application to the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington only. (The Honorary Consulate-General in Auckland is not authorised to issue visas to nationals of these countries)
if holding either student or work permit for New Zealand, he/she must submit a letter of recommendation from their educational institution or employer with the application.

* Passport holders of certain above-mentioned countries (higlighted in blue) need to apply for Thai Visa in person at the Royal Thai Embassy, Wellington.
Additional list of 35 countries in Africa:
Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Chad, Côte D'Ivoire, Djibouti, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Swaziland, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Gabon, Comoros, Lesotho, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa and South Sudan.
Passport holders of the above-mentioned additional list of 35 countries in Africa are requested to apply for Thai visas at the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington only. (The Royal Thai Honorary Consulate-General in Auckland is not authorised to issue visas to nationals of these countries)
