เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตันเข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน
(ASEAN Committee in Wellington – ACW) ครั้งที่ ๒/๒๐๒๕

เมื่อวันที่ ๑๑ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๘ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตันได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน (ASEAN Committee in Wellington – ACW) ครั้งที่ ๒/๒๐๒๕ ซึ่งประกอบด้วยเอกอัครราชทูตจากกลุ่มประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ๖ ประเทศ ที่ประจำอยู่ ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน ได้แก่ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ สิงคโปร์ เวียดนาม และประเทศไทย โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูตฟิลิปปินส์เป็นประธาน

ที่ประชุมได้ส่งมอบตำแหน่งประธาน ACW จากฟิลิปปินส์ให้แก่เวียดนาม ตลอดจนได้หารือเกี่ยวกับการเตรียมการจัดกิจกรรมในโอกาสฉลองครบรอบ ๕๐ ปี ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างอาเซียนกับนิวซีแลนด์ ประกอบด้วย (๑) งานเลี้ยงรับรองวันอาเซียน (ASEAN Day) ซึ่งจะจัดในวันที่ ๑๓ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๘ (๒) กิจกรรมเผยแพร่ภาพยนตร์ของประเทศอาเซียนในเทศกาลภาพยนตร์ New Zealand International Film Festival 2025 ในธีม Journeys: Southeast Asia ในวันที่ ๑๐ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๘ ที่นครโอ๊คแลนด์ (๓) การเข้าร่วมจัดกิจกรรม ASEAN Festival 2025 ในวันที่ ๖ ธันวาคม ๒๕๖๘ ที่กรุงเวลลิงตัน (๔) การจัดกิจกรรม ASEAN Family Day 2025 ในเดือนธันวาคม ๒๕๖๘

การประชุมคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน จัดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นกลไกการหารือและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลข่าวสาร รวมถึงการจัดกิจกรรมร่วมกันในนามอาเซียน ซึ่งช่วยส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ สร้างความตระหนักรู้ และเพิ่มพูนปฏิสัมพันธ์ที่มากขึ้นระหว่างกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียนกับหน่วยงานและสาธารณชนนิวซีแลนด์

The Royal Thai Embassy attended the 2^nd/2025
ASEAN Committee in Wellington (ACW) meeting

On 11 July 2025, the Ambassador of Thailand attended the 2^nd meeting of ASEAN Committee in Wellington (ACW) for 2025, which comprised Heads of Mission from ASEAN diplomatic missions accredited to Wellington, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand. The ACW meeting was chaired by the Ambassador of the Philippines.

In this occasion, the meeting handed over the ACW Chairmanship from the Philippines to Vietnam and also discussed on preparation for series of activities to commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of ASEAN-New Zealand Dialogue Relations, including: (1) ASEAN Day Reception to be held on 13 August 2025; (2) ASEAN Film presentations from ASEAN countries in the New Zealand International Film Festival (NZIFF) 2025, under the theme “Journeys: Southeast Asia” on 10 August 2025 in Auckland; (3) Participation in the ASEAN Festival 2025 on 6 December 2025 in Wellington; and (4) ASEAN Family Day 2025, to be held in December this year.

The ACW serves as a mechanism for ASEAN diplomatic missions for regular consultation as well as organizing ASEAN-related activities and projects, aiming to raise awareness and strengthen interactions between ASEAN and New Zealand’s agencies and the general public.
