เมื่อวันที่ ๑๓ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๘ นายวราวุธ ภู่อภิญญา เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน เป็นประธานในพิธีมอบประกาศนียบัตรแก่เยาวชนที่สำเร็จการศึกษาหลักสูตรภาษาไทยสำหรับเด็กเล็กที่เรียนทุกวันอาทิตย์เวลา ๑๒.๐๐ - ๑๓.๐๐ น ตั้งแต่วันที่ ๘ มิถุนายน - ๑๓ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๘ ณ ที่ทำการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ โดยโครงการดังกล่าวเป็นความร่วมมือกับสมาคมคนไทยในกรุงเวลลิงตัน และสมาคมนักเรียนไทยในเวลลิงตัน (Thai Students Association of Wellington) ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ถ่ายรูปร่วมกับเยาวชนที่สำเร็จการศึกษาพร้อมกับผู้ปกครอง

สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญที่เยาวชนไทยที่เกิดและเติบโตในต่างแดนจะได้เรียนรู้ภาษาประจำชาติของบรรพบุรุษ และมีประวัติศาสตร์มาเป็นเวลายาวนาน ซึ่งจะเป็นการปลูกฝังเยาวชนในต่างแดนได้มีความภูมิใจในเอกลักษณ์ของชาติไทย และใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์ในวันหยุดของโรงเรียน และจะจัดกิจกรรมที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อชุมชนไทยเช่นนี้อย่างสม่ำเสมอ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ขอขอบคุณชุมชนไทยทุกท่านที่ได้กรุณามีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ที่เป็นที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้ หากท่านมีข้อเสนอแนะประการใด สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ก็ยินดีนำไปสู่การปฏิบัติต่อไป

On 13 July 2025, Mr. Waravuth Pouapinya, Thai Ambassador to New Zealand presented certificates at the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington to young students who successfully completed the recent Thai language course. The course, a collaborative effort between the Royal Thai Embassy, the Wellington’s Thai Community, and the Thai Students Association of Wellington, ran every Sunday from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, beginning on June 8 and concluding with the ceremony on 13 July 2025. Following the presentation, the Ambassador joined the graduates and their parents for a group photo, celebrating their achievement.

The Royal Thai Embassy recognizes the importance of enabling Thai youth born and raised abroad to learn the national language of their ancestors, a language with a rich and long-standing history. This effort helps instill pride in Thai identity among overseas youth and encourages them to make constructive use of their free time during school holidays.
