โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนภาษาและวัฒนธรรมระหว่างนักเรียนไทยและนิวซีแลนด์ ประจำปี 2558

          เมื่อวันที่ 30 พฤษภาคม 2558 สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้จัดพิธีต้อนรับและกิจกรรมการพบปะระหว่างครอบครัวอุปถัมภ์ โรงเรียน และนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยนนิวซีแลนด์ ตาม “โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนภาษาและวัฒนธรรมระหว่างนักเรียนไทยและนิวซีแลนด์ ประจำปี 2558”  โดยมีผู้แทนจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการและสถานเอกอัครราชทูตนิวซีแลนด์ประจำประเทศไทยเข้าร่วมด้วย ทั้งนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้นำนักเรียน   ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจากโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาทั่วประเทศนิวซีแลนด์ จำนวน 11 คน เดินทางไปยังประเทศไทยเพื่อเข้าร่วมโครงการดังกล่าวระหว่างวันที่ 29 พฤษภาคม – 21 มิถุนายน 2558  โดยนักเรียนนิวซีแลนด์ได้พำนักกับครอบครัวอุปถัมภ์ชาวไทยและเข้าเรียนโรงเรียนในจังหวัดต่างๆ ได้แก่ กรุงเทพฯ นนทบุรี เพชรบุรี ลพบุรี น่าน อำนาจเจริญ สกลนคร ร้อยเอ็ด และหนองบัวลำภู จึงถือเป็นโอกาสให้นักเรียนไทยได้ฝึกฝนภาษาอังกฤษและเปิดโลกทัศน์สำหรับเตรียมเข้าสู่ประชาคมอาเซียน ในขณะเดียวกัน นักเรียนนิวซีแลนด์ก็ได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมไทยกับครอบครัวอุปถัมภ์และโรงเรียนต่าง ๆ นอกจากนี้ โครงการดังกล่าวยังจะช่วยส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชนระหว่างไทยและนิวซีแลนด์ให้ใกล้ชิดต่อไปด้วย

          โครงการดังกล่าวเป็นโครงการที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ร่วมกับกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ดำเนินมาเป็นประจำทุกปี โดยในปีนี้เป็นปีที่ 3 แล้ว โครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีในระดับประชาชนของสองประเทศ ส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนด้านภาษาและวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งยังช่วยสร้างมิตรของประเทศไทยอีกด้วย

           นักเรียนนิวซีแลนด์ทั้ง 11 คนได้รับการต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่นจากครอบครัวอุปถัมภ์ชาวไทยและโรงเรียนต่าง ๆ โดยนักเรียนนิวซีแลนด์เหล่านี้ได้มีโอกาสเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมไทยและวิถีไทยจากการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม    ต่าง ๆ ที่ครอบครัวอุปถัมภ์ โรงเรียนและสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ จัดให้ เช่น การเรียนทำอาหารไทย นาฏศิลป์ไทย ดนตรีไทย การท่องเที่ยวในสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติและสถานที่มีความสำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์ ฯลฯ นอกจากนี้ นักเรียนนิวซีแลนด์ยังมีโอกาสได้นำเสนอแง่มุมต่าง ๆ ของนิวซีแลนด์ ซึ่งได้กระตุ้นความสนใจของนักเรียนและครอบครัวอุปภัมภ์ชาวไทยให้สนใจเรียนรู้เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับประเทศนิวซีแลนด์และช่วยพัฒนาทักษะการสื่อสารโดยใช้ภาษาอังกฤษได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น

Thai-New Zealand Language and Cultural Students Exchange Programme 2015

            On 30 May 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy, Wellington held a Welcoming Ceremony in Bangkok for Thai host families, schools and 11 New Zealand students involved in the “Thai-New Zealand Language and Cultural Students Exchange Programme 2015.” Representatives from the Ministry of Education of Thailand and New Zealand Embassy in Bangkok were also present.

            The Royal Thai Embassy sponsored the students from high schools around New Zealand to participate in the Exchange Programme at schools in various provinces of Thailand including Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Petchaburi, Lopburi, Nan, Amnat Charoen, Sakon Nakhon, Roi-Et and Nong Bualamphu, from 29 May to 21 June 2015.  The New Zealand students stayed with Thai host families during their time in Thailand, giving Thai students opportunities to practice their English communication skills and broaden their world views.       In the meantime, New Zealand students would also learn cultural experiences from their host families and local schools.  The programme also serves to foster friendship and people-to-people contacts between Thailand and New Zealand.

            The Royal Thai Embassy, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, has successfully implemented the exchange programme every year since 2013. Not only does the programme help foster the people-to-people connectivity between Thailand and New Zealand, but it is also expected to promote mutual understanding by language and cultural exchange as well as to make more “Friends of Thailand.”

            The 11 New Zealand students were warmly welcomed by their Thai host families and local schools. Throughout the programme, the students had opportunities to learn various aspects of Thai culture and the way of life in Thailand, particularly in activities arranged by their Thai host families, schools and the Royal Thai Embassy. These activities included Thai cooking, Thai traditional dancing, Thai music, sightseeing of cultural and historical sites and natural tourist attractions, etc.  Additionally, the students were able to represent New Zealand, attracting the interest and enthusiasm of Thai students and the host families in learning about New Zealand and helping to improve their English conversation skills.
