เมื่อวันที่ 3 พฤศจิกายน 2568 นางกรรณมน เสนาณรงค์ อุปทูตฯ พร้อมด้วยนายวีร์ ชาญสง่าเวช และนายณัฐพล สอนจรูญ ที่ปรึกษา ได้รับเกียรติจากเอกอัครราชทูตติมอร์-เลสเตประจำนิวซีแลนด์ เชิญเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองเฉลิมฉลองเนื่องในโอกาสการเข้าเป็นสมาชิกอาเซียนลำดับที่ 11 ของติมอร์-เลสเต ณ Precinct Flex, Bowen Campus โดยมีคณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน (ASEAN Committee in Wellington: ACW) คณะทูตต่างประเทศ ผู้แทนกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและการค้านิวซีแลนด์ และผู้แทนหน่วยงานภาคเอกชนเข้าร่วม
กิจกรรมภายในงานประกอบด้วยการเคารพเพลงชาติติมอร์-เลสเต เพลงอาเซียน และเพลงชาตินิวซีแลนด์ จากนั้นประธานในพิธี ได้แก่ (1) H.E. Idelta Maria Rodrigues เอกอัครราชทูตติมอร์-เลสเตประจำนิวซีแลนด์ (2) H.E. Mazita Marzuki เอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียประจำนิวซีแลนด์ ในฐานะมาเลเซียเป็นประธานอาเซียน และ (3) H.E. John Subritzky ตำแหน่ง Acting Deputy Secretary Americas and Asia Group กระทรวงการต่างประเทศและการค้านิวซีแลนด์ ในฐานะแขกเกียรติยศ ได้กล่าวสุนทรพจน์แสดงความยินดีต่อการเข้าเป็นสมาชิกอาเซียนลำดับที่ 11 ของติมอร์-เลสเต ซึ่งมีผลตั้งแต่วันที่ 26 ตุลาคม 2568 รวมถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างอาเซียนกับนิวซีแลนด์ที่มีความใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้นโดยเฉพาะในโอกาสครบรอบ 50 ปี ของความสัมพันธ์อาเซียน-นิวซีแลนด์ ตลอดจนกล่าวแสดงความประสงค์ที่จะสร้างความร่วมมือด้านต่าง ๆ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงและมั่งคั่งในภูมิภาคและกระชับความสัมพันธ์ในระดับประชาชนในอนาคต นอกจากนี้ ยังมีกิจกรรมการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมของติมอร์-เลสเต และการนำเสนอผลิตภัณฑ์ท้องถิ่นและศักยภาพที่น่าสนใจ เช่น ด้านการท่องเที่ยวและด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของติมอร์-เลสเตอีกด้วย
Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington attended the reception to celebrate the Accession of Timor-Leste to AESAN as the 11th Member State
On 3 November 2025, Mrs. Kanamon Senanarong, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., Mr. Vee Chansa-Ngavej, and Mr. Natthaphol Sonjaroon, Counsellors, were honoured by an invitation from the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to New Zealand to attend a reception celebrating the Accession of Timor-Leste to ASEAN as the 11th Member State, at Precinct Flex, Bowen Campus, Wellington. The event was attended by the ASEAN Committee in Wellington (ACW), High-Level representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand (MFAT), members of the Diplomatic Corps., and representatives from local agencies and private sector.
During the reception, the ceremony included paying respect to the national anthems of Timor-Leste and New Zealand, as well as the ASEAN anthem. This was followed by remarks delivered by (1) H.E. Idelta Maria Rodrigues, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to New Zealand; (2) H.E. Mazita Marzuki, High Commissioner of Malaysia (Malaysia as the ASEAN Chair); and (3) H.E. John Subritzky, Acting Deputy Secretary of the Americas and Asia Group, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, as the Guest of Honour, who conveyed heartfelt congratulations on the Accession of Timor-Leste to ASEAN as its 11th Member State, effective on 26 October 2025.
The speeches also highlighted the close relationship between ASEAN and New Zealand, particularly in the context of 50th Anniversary of ASEAN - New Zealand Dialogue Relations; and emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperations to advance security, prosperity, and closer people-to-people connection. The event also featured cultural performances and an exhibition of Timor-Leste’s local products highlighting the country’s potential in areas such as tourism and environmental sustainability.
